Welcome to Pocket Tabs. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Progressive Web App (PWA) and our companion browser extension (collectively, the "Service").

• Account Information: When you sign in with your Google account, we use Firebase Authentication. We receive your basic profile information as provided by Google (such as your name and email address). We do not receive or store your Google password.
• User-Generated Content: We store the links (URLs), titles, descriptions, tags, and groups that you explicitly save to the Service. This data is stored in our Firebase Firestore database and is directly associated with your user account.
• Browser Extension Data: The extension is designed with privacy as a priority. It only accesses the URL and title of your browser tabs **only when you explicitly initiate a save** (clicking "Send Current Tab" or "Save Current Session"). It does not track your browsing history or access data from tabs you do not save.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Authenticate your account and synchronize your saved links across devices.
• Enable the core functionality of the browser extension, which transfers tab data to the PWA.
• Allow you to export your data to a text file.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google's Firebase Firestore database. We implement Firestore Security Rules that restrict data access, ensuring that only you can read and write your own information when authenticated.

Your Rights and Data Control

You have full control over your data. You can access, edit, and delete individual links or groups at any time.

Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data via the "Delete Account" option in your account menu. This action is irreversible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
